Santo Tomas..What to do that's NOT a 1+ hour bus ride away?

Will be in port at Santo Tomas in early Dec 8am-5pm. Not interested in a 1+ hour bus ride or a :45 minute rickity fast boat to an excursion. What can we do close to the port? We are an active Mid 40's couple.
