Anyone used a day pass at Intercontinental in 2012?

We are debating several options for our December 22, 2012 day in Cozumel. Leading options are: Mr. Sanchos, Chankanaab (husband wants to do the Dolphin swim), private driver or Intercontinental.

 

Got a good deal at IC ($140 for the four of us) and it looks lovely. Can't quite figure out how far it is from the beach and whether it would be less crowded than Mr. Sanchos. So would appreciate any input from CC members.

 

Traveling with teens (18 and 15). We are leary of how crowded beaches might be in Cozumel (this is only our 2nd cruise...first to the Caribbean).
