Do we have time in Nassau...

Hi everyone! We are 19 days from sailing on the Carnival Imagination to Nassau! We are taking my niece for her high school graduation and she has a few questions...

We are parasailing with Freddie Munroe until 1pm or so. She is looking at the following activities in about 10 hours or so in Nassau (we are docked 10am-7am). She would like to go to the straw market and shopping/Hard Rock/Senor Frog's/etc downtown, go to Atlantis, maybe go to another casino, go to the beach for a while...

I have reminded her about "Bahamas Time" :)

She would like to know A)if they can get all these things done and B)any recommendations on where to go for these activities? How late is the straw market open? We have a sea day the next day so they are not worried about missing activities on the ship on Nassau day.

Thanks any and all for your tips!!

Not only will you be on "bahamas time".. but it will be winter, and it gets' dark around 4:30pm.

Straw market starts closing at dark/ most shops will close around 5, some at 5:30pm. Hard Rock and Senor Frogs will stay open until late.

Atlantis is not open to the public during the daytime, except the casino and shopping. You'll need to buy a day pass for $135pp or an aquarium pass to see anything there.

Atlantis is the only casino open these days.

I suggest that if the weather is nice, that you go to the beach directly after parasailing. EIther purchase a day pass at the Sheraton ($30pp) or use one of the public beaches (either Junkanoo or Cabbage - although I'm hearing that cabbage beach is being restricted these days).

Then straw market and shopping before 5.

Save Senor frogs and Atlantis casino for the evening.

You must be 18 to enter and play at the casino.

There is nothing open early in the morning.

Quite frankly, i'm exhausted just thinking about it.. it's would mean rushing from one activity to the other.. and not enjoying any of them.
