2nd Passion Island. All of the beach clubs on the East side of Coz has sand made of crushed shells and the sand gives way very quickly. Making where you sink into it difficult to walk sometimes and build sand castles.

the sand is passion island is more like white powder. Very soft and packs below you feet so you do not sink into it. Also since it is almost pure white it does not get hot under the sun but stays nice and cool.

Pasion Island can be reached by what they call power catamaran , through the ship tours, or by Twister, a wild and crazy boat ride. The catamaran takes 40 min each way , and is a nice ride. The food there is actually good , and they have several open bars, so they are not very crowded. If you go on the later tour, seating can be a little challenging, but it doesn't seem crowded otherwise..Carnival supposedly has a contract, where you cannot take an independent tour there which is a bus ride to the end of the island of Cozumel, and then a short boat ride to Isla Pasion. Will post a link. I do not know if you get off on your own and book the independent tour, they would know you are on Carnival ? Other ships, no problem anyway. Pasion Island is where they used to make the Corona commercials.

We were thinking about Paradise beach this next time..I guess the only real difference is the boat ride , and it is really pretty. Do you do the all inclusive at Paradise, or pay as you go ? And is it crowded? Thanks

The last 3 times we went to Paradise Beach and we enjoy the pool, food and buckets of XX.

Should we try Passion island?
