Super Bowl!!!

:DHi, I will be on the Fascination Feb.2nd-7th and was wondering if Carnival does anything special on the ships when there is a big game like the super Bowl?

We have been on several Superbowl cruises. If they have the big screen, the game will be shown on it along with one of the lounges and the sports bar. They will set up special food stations with finger foods along with other things depending on the ship. On the Dream, they had BBQ ribs and chicken, on the Glory, it was burgers and hot dogs.

We were on the Fascination for Superbowl in 2011. They showed it on a big screen in the big show lounge and had free finger foods set up just inside the door. They had a Mexican buffet, make your own tacos and burritos. Wings, pizzas, veggies. That's all DH remembers, but there may have been more.

 

Lots of bar waiters so he never ran out of something to drink. (Which may explain why he doesn't remember the food.:D)

 

The only issue DH had was that it was sometimes hard to follow the passes on the screen. He enjoyed the team rivalry. It was controlled, no fights broke out. :D

 

Get there early to get a good seat. Seat saving was definitely not allowed! In fact, people asked if a seat was taken if someone got up to go to the restroom.

 

DH had a great time. I came by every once in awhile to see if he needed anything. (Not much into football.) We'd book another cruise on the Fascination at Superbowl time in an instant!)

;)Thanks! I am looking forward to a new Superbowl experience! It will be nice for someone else to have to do all of the finger food for a change. My aunt and uncle will be with us and this will be there first cruise...they love football so this is an added bonus for them!

The Fascination doesn't have the outdoor big screen.

I know that there is no outdoor theater on the ship but a chance to maybe catch it in the Palace lounge would be sweet!:cool:
