Are Eurodam cabin doors metal or wood?

International law requires ocean going ships to have metal doors in cabin entrances.

Most are honeycomb steel and aluminum, with a veneer (sometimes wood) on the exterior surfaces.

Magnets will generally stick to the cabin doors on older ships, but not on the newer ones.

Magnets will, however, usually attach themselves to the door frames and/or the wall panels next to the door.
