Ship transfers from Whittier to Anchorage airport

Anyone done this recently? How early did you get to Anchorage airport? Were the ship shuttle transfers first off? I notice the ship doesn't dock in Whittier until 8am. I know it is an hr an half drive.

I am asking as our flight from Anchorage to LAX has been bought forward to 1pm. Funnily...this is our third flight change re our trip to the States...but it may be the tightest one.
