a woman was posting about a cruise that she took with her "ex DH"-then she went on to tell about a more recent cruise with her present DH. I had to laugh-as- if number one had been a "dear husband" would she had divorced him and remarried?

Very funny, and good point. But it could have also stood for departed husband?

Funny, DW is only mentioned as Disney Wonder. What about Dear Wife?

I have always used DW to mean Dear Wife, Darling Wife, Delicious Wife, you get the idea. In no way does my wife relate to Disney Wonder. She is definitely for real. :) I guess the acronamiacs aren't married. :D

Why even use acronyms? Is is really so hard to say "my husband...."? It drives me crazy when people go on and on using the acronyms in a post. It is like they need to label everyone in their life. Just tell me that your daughter did this, or your wife loves to see that, etc. Call me old fashioned!

There was one gal who would target my posts and would and woudl always-no matter what I had posted she would quote me and put-ROFLMAO- when I found out what that meant I did not find it very funny-but for some reason she found me very funny-not sure why. I haven't seen her post here in awhile and no-I do not miss her.

I'm glad you asked. I wondered too, but didn't bother to do a search on it.

Even after 40 years, I tend to speak of the Lady of My Life as "My Bride".

I won't even tell you how she refers to me!
