Recent experience with eZAir?

Has anyone had recent experience using the Princess eZAir program for their cruise airfare? They are currently offering $400 off (per person) on flights for British Isles cruises; it looks like you can choose the flights you want and they offer flexible fares that can be changed/cancelled.

I know in the past, cruise airfare through the cruise line was usually very restrictive; they dictated what your flights were and they usually couldn't be changed without paying a fee.

So just wondering if there was any downside to using this program.

With EZAir you pick the flights, not Princess.

Main negatives:

a) Not all airlines are included in the program.

b) It may cost less to book directly with an airline than with EZAir, but that may not be the case with the discount special they have for some cruises.

c) When you have to pay is confusing, but to lock in the airfare you may need to pay for it or even the entire cruise when you make the EZAir booking. A call to Princess should be able to get the straight information on that.

We just booked air on the current sale for a cruise on the Emerald in June. Price was better than we could do elsewhere with the $400 off.

There is a lot of flexibility with flight times and airlines. We are flying in two days in advance and found the flight schedule we wanted. We had used FCCs for the cruise deposit and only needed to pay for air. We choose to go the restricted airfare route. Our TA saw more and cheaper flights than we saw on the Princess website.

If you book, but don't pay for the unrestricted fares the price is not guaranteed and may change. Check with your TA.
