We shopped in the port area and my DH bought me a stunning opal and diamond ring for my 60th Birthday. The price made us both happy.

We found the prices there better than in St. Marteen.

In hindsight we should have waited to shop until after our time at the beach because I did worry about leaving it when we went swimming.

Our favourite beach in St. Thomas is Emerald (Lindberg) Beach. Easy taxi ride to the beach although you need to allow extra time getting back to the ship because of traffic.

Ajanta Jewelers in Drake's Passage in town has beautiful designs, and gets good reviews on TripAdvisor. They don't pressure you to buy, either.

I have spent a lot of time shopping for jewelry in St. Thomas, but always seem to buy at Cardow. Now I just go there.

And although I usually buy from Cardow in STT, I have also had fairly good luck with Diamonds International in other ports.

I have shopped at many of the large tourist places over the past 30 years........ discovered Imperial Jewelers aobut 5 years ago ........ Best place in St Thomas !!!

 

Lots of customers there are repeat and repeat.......... this is not the typical tourist place. I have shopped at Cardow in the past, but now realize it is not the place to buy!

when there 12/27 my wife kept getting asked by people if she would like to private jewelry shop. Having no clue what they wanted she said no.
