SpiritRiver Posted December 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2012 Last Friday my husband was evacuated from Regatta due to a dislocated artificial hip. I cannot say enough good things about how well the crew handled the situation with caring professionalism--the Captain, the ship medical staff, the stretcher crew who moved my husband to the uppermost point of the ship to be hoisted in a basket to a hovering USCG helicopter, the concierge who made sure I was taken care of until we reached Cabo San Lucas, and wonderful Regatta passengers who offered their companionship during this stressful time. Thank you to all! We are home now and mending, and we hope to be cruising again soon. This was not an Oceania experience I had anticipated, but it certainly spoke volumes about how this company cares for its customers in difficult situations. We have also had very good experiences with the medical personnel on O ships.
