Carnival Freedom...Which Side?

Booking the Carnival Freedom today for the Southern Caribbean Cruise on March 23, 2013. Which side is better for the cabin? Port or Starboard?

There really is no best side. If it's sunrises and sunsets you are looking for then you will have one or the other and both the trip down and the trip back.

If you want a view of the port area you won't know until you get their if the ship pulls into the pier or backs into the pier and also there could be other ships docked between you and the port.

I prefer the port side only because all but one of my cruises I've had a cabin on the port side so I am kind of hardwired mentally for orientation.

Depending whether you are a smoker or not and how close your cabin is to the Lido deck, smoking is prohibited on the port side of Lido deck; if that matters to you.

What does that have to do with port or starboard cabin location?

We prefer port side for no particular reason. Oh wait yes there .. I like playing catch the harbor pilot. port midship just past the mid elevators.
