angelndscz Posted December 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2012 Where do you suggest to eat when visiting NO with preteens? We have been to nearly every chain restaurants in Tampa/Orlando so not looking for a chain but more quaint, upscale restaurants popular in NO that also welcomes kids. Somewhere my husband and I will enjoy ourselves. Oh, I don't eat any seafood, I prefer steak. The husband eats anything. LOL We are staying at the Downtown Marriott near the Convention Center but like walking throughout the FQ. We usually stay at a boutique hotel but we are in town for a Cheerleading competition MLK weekend and this is where the cheer gym made the group booking. jgmpuma Posted December 31, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2012 http://www.muriels.com Muriel's is excellent. Like most restaurants in the French Quarter they specialize in seafood, but have other offerings too. It is on the upscale side but not overpriced. That is exactly the type of restaurant I am looking for. I looked at the website and love the balcony seating. Although, because of the weekend we are visiting it may be too cold for me out there. :-)
