To use this would one book a cruise with their regular PVP first then guests can contribute gifts towards that or is it booked through the registry?

Hi You can book your cruise with whomever you'd like! The items you receive are also booked/organized by yourself so you can choose the time and date, etc. And, if you decide you can not do a particular item, you have the freedom to use it for something else on onboard (for example if you receive a massage and get sunburned and don't want to use it you can use it for something else.)
