Alright, I just came back from this cruise for 12/24 - 1/1.....

I must say this casino felt like it was ran by mafias.

Casino rules are a joke....

You fork out a couple of hundreds to play table games, you get VIP treatment.

I'm not a gambling addict who would fork out 500-1000 for the table games.

The managers and staff knows how to suck up to people.

Let me begin,

1) Kids not allowed in casino and so they say... I've seen parents who were asked to leave when they have kids watching them play slots or other table games. But some regular players who play at least 500-1K each day were allowed to have their kids around them. I witnessed one of the managers giving the kid a pat on the back etc......Oh yes it was definitely OK for their kids to be around while they play because hello, I took out 500-1000 for the table games.....

Roulette:

2) I play a few games of roulette......... Some of the dealers were very unprofessional. Did not pay me the right amount, I put $25 chip on 3rd 12 and she paid me $25 instead of $50. I point at the payout, "look what you did". She goes "oh sorry, I thought that was on 19-36". I said to the manager look she can't do this or say this, "I thought". He just gave me a pat on the back and said "Sir, as long as you got your right amount back, it's ok"

Another dealer is even more ridiculous I had winning chips on the splits, she just brush it all off the table without looking carefully. I yelled at her and she goes "oh really? it was there? are you sure?". I said go ask your manager to check the tape..... I think I had this happening 3x in the 5 nights that I play.

3) Definitely the dealers & managers know how to suck up to regular players who fork out a lot of money to play. They get VIP treatment.

4) I don't understand why the dealers are always chatting. I understand you want to lighten up the place but at least say something nice. If I decided not to place a bet this round, they say "you didn't place bet". Excuse me, I don't have to place my bet on every game. There are some rude players on the table as well, you'll obviously know they don't know how to play the games. You wait for all the winning chips to paid before you grab yours, but no I've seen people just reached out for theirs once their winnings are placed especially those placed on the outside.

Blackjack

1) I think this table game had the noisiest players of all. There's always a few guys who would be screaming and talking loudly disturbing, even with the bar behind me, I still think they're noisier.

I can't imagine these stuff happening in Vegas. Constantly checking the video for mistakes? Dealers not paying the right amount? The ball flying off the wheel a few times. Chatting with players. Get annoyed if someone don't place a bet.

Maybe the Carnival cruise casino is not for me. I've been on NCL & RC and dealers & managers are more professional than the ones on Carnival Miracle.

I cannot tell you how the casino staff are on the miracle as I am not going till next week, however from what I read I believe that your attitude towards the casino may have been the reason for your treatment. I was once a casino dealer and can tell you honestly, we all make mistakes. If a mistake was made in your favor you would not say anything, but if the mistake is made in the houses favor you start blaming the dealer.

You have to understand that the dealers are not making any money if you do not tip. Dealers on cruise ships make $10-$20 per day base pay and the rest is based on the tips they receive divided up throughout the cruise line casinos (the tips collected in toke boxes, not your gratuity charges). With that being said, unless you were being troublesome and not tipping on your winnings, I do not see why they would treat you the way you say they were treating you. Again this is all on speculation if you were wrongfully treated I would call the casino hosts in the casino on the ship next time and speak with them or contact the cruise director or assistant cruise director who is incharge of all entertainment on the cruise ship as they can help.

Now I want to talk about the blackjack issue you came across.

Seriously? the game of blackjack IS the noisiest game because its made for people to have fun. Blackjack usually houses the youngest crowds, the most drunk (since you can play drunk) and sometimes the most rude. As a former dealer I have seen it all on the tables. The worst has always been blackjack. If you want a quiet game with a sudden cheer once in a while try the carnival games - 3 card poker, let it ride and etc.

You are also getting annoyed because the dealer is chatting with other players? I am very sorry for but why shouldn't the dealers chat with other players? Their job is to provide a game so people can have fun. If you would like some quiet time, the casino might have been a bad choice, try the library or the sun deck.

Now my opinion may be biased as I have worked in the casino industry, however I am a gambler myself and will try to give a full review of the casino when I return here.

Probably my attitude and or maybe I didn't tip them enough.

Sure mistakes happen, but constant ones from the same dealer is another story. But that's okay, I avoided a specific one after these lessons learned.

Maybe I should mention chatting for at least a good 10 minutes before the wheel gets going, not to mention other people are already waiting for the wheel to spin. Perhaps it takes even longer at other casino that I haven't been to .

Sorry, I never said I wanted some quiet time.

Not to mention, last night an Asian woman & another dude stir up some argument at the blackjack table. The managers didn't know how to handle it properly at first. That was some scene for a good ten minutes throughout the casino.

Oh well, it's a cruise casino, can't expect too much.

If you feel you have had a bad experience, did you contact the casino manager? I know you said the casino manager did not know how to handle the issue properly, have you contacted the assistant cruise director? When you returned to shore did you contacted the Ocean Players Club regarding the incident? I know from experience the officers on board and the cruise lines generally do everything to make sure you had a great cruise. If you haven't I recommend contacting the line directly and voice your concerns so in the future this wont happen again since cruise line employees are on contract and go from line to line; you might have the same problem again in the future if you do not voice your concerns.

I was on the Miracle in November. The casino manager Petr and the casino host Willian were wonderful to me. This was due to my complaint letter that I sent to Carnival's management after a dreadful casino experience on the Pride in September. I play craps and didn't have any negatives at all.

The Casino staff were friendly in my opinion, but again I was probably one of the noisy ones you refer to. The asian lady incident stemmed from an incident involving her husband in the morning. The sale at the gift store. He wanted some sort of "glass figures" that were half price, then proceeded to push children to the floor and elbow one lady in the face giving her a bloody nose. The gentleman she was yelling at ws the lady whose nose was bloodied husband, guess she was defending her husbands crude behavior that morning. I'll give props to the guy for not leaving the table and throwing her husband the beating he deserved.
