Transfer from Amtrak to Warehouse District New Orleans

There will be 5 of us (4 adults & 10 year old)going to New Orleans in May.I was wondering about the price of transfers from the station to Springhill Suites Marriot.Since there are 5 of us will we need to take 2 cabs?We are going on Elation and arriving the day before the cruise.I think we are only a couple of blocks from the cruise terminal.How much will that cost the next morning to the port.Would we be able to walk it?Thanks for your help!

Haven't taken a cab in New Orleans in a while. We took the train several years ago & we all got in one cab - there were 5 adults; it was a van. They'll charge you pretty much whatever they want; it was never what they advertised. But you can't walk it. Well, you won't want to walk it. It's about 12 blocks from the terminal.
