Traffic leaving pier on Sundays

I was wondering if anyone knows the fastest way to leave the pier on a Sunday. There will be two ships disemarking at the same time and am wondering...

 

Is it faster to park at the pier and deal with the traffic of people trying to get out of the parking garage OR

 

Get picked up by a shuttle and taken to an off site garage or hotel?

 

We will be in a suite so will have priority disembarkation...so we can be one of the first off the ship. We have a long drive and will be anxious to get on the road.

when I cruised out of New Orleans, traffic wasnt a problem at all. I also went out to the port last Sunday and the traffic was minimal.

Just left that port on Saturday and there was no traffic at all. Very easy!
