CThuskies Posted January 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2013 I'm fairly new to Celebrity and am booked on the March 9th Reflection cruise. We have a group of 4 cabins (8 people in total). When we made the reservation only the 'open seating' dining was available. Does anyone know if we can ask for a standing reservation for the duration of the cruise when we go to dinner the first night (same time/same table)? We've done several princess cruises and this is what we ended up doing when the assigned dining was not avail at time of booking. thanks in advance! Mark They will pretty much work with you on anything you want. I would also suggest that when you board, you go to the dining room. It is possible your dining might be changed to a regular seating if that is what you wish.
Phxazzcruisers Posted January 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2013 Yes, go see the Matre D as soon as you board. They are usually at a podium near the main dining room entrance. You can request a reserved seating and if anything is available they will do their very best to accommodate you all. Enjoy your cruise
Ex-Airbalancer Posted January 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2013 We did a 14 night TA in Select dinning, we never waited more 15 mins for a table, if you are not picky about how many you want at your tablet it pretty fast to get a seat
CThuskies Posted January 6, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted January 6, 2013 thanks everyone! We'll go to the dining room as soon as we board. We just want to be able to sit with each other. Most of our dinners will be in the MDR with the exception of maybe 1 in a specialty restaurant. I just didn't want to muddy the waters with the automatic tipping (which we paid with final payment) should they switch us to assigned dining. We typically give additional but want to make sure that if they do switch us to the assigned dining room area that the staff will at least get the baseline tip which we already paid. thanks again. looking forward to this cruise!
