Meal Plan in Moorea

PRLT

Recommended Posts

I was wondering from anyone who has stayed in Moorea before. Is it worth it to do a meal plan at the hotel or better to go to different restaurants? We are staying at The Sheraton for 3 nights before taking the TP on Nov 30. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks :)

I wouldn't recommend the meal plans in FP. If you are regular breakfast eaters, I might consider the plan that includes breakfast only. However, there are too many good restaurants on Moorea to only eat at your hotel the whole time. Most of the restaurants will pick you up and take you to the restaurant, and the hotel will make your reservations.

Another note on breakfasts, DH and I split a continental breakfast every morning ($30) and found it was more than enough for the both of us. The American breakfasts are even larger, and we certainly wouldn't have needed two between us. Something to consider when pricing out the plans.

I would recommend the breakfast buffet plan. There is tons of food. Food is so expensive on Moorea (and anywhere in FP), that what we did is took a few baguettes, took some of the cold cuts from the buffet, wrapped them up and voila! Lunch! Two meals for the price of one.
