sunfish lady Posted June 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Would someone be so kind to let me know if there is a specialty restaurant on the galaxy? also is there a thalosotherpy pool on the ship?
benjamins Posted June 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Have you sailed Celebrity before? The Galaxy entered service in 1996 and is part of the Century class of ships. The Century entered service in 1995. Some of the Century class signatures introduced to the Celebrity fleet are thellasotherapy pools as part of the aquaspas, martini and champage bars, cigar clubs, 2-tier stern located dining rooms, some balcony cabins. Specifically, the t-pool on the Century ships have a daily or weekly charge and are small, private, and powerful. Specialty restaurants were introduced on the Millennium ships which debued in 2000. Therefore, the Galaxy does not have one and was not retrofitted with one.
Tatka Posted June 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Jeez...that was such a simple question to answer... No, Galaxy doesn't have speciality restaurant, but it has T-pool and it's great , but not free. Prices range from $10 to $20 per day, but experience is well worth it.:) Have fun on Galaxy. We sailed on Mercury and Century (her sister ships) and loved it. tawcat Posted June 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2005 the galaxy does offer alternative dining in the buffet area. there is a an additional surcharge of $2.00 per person. they close the buffet and open a section of that area for the evening meal. it is right next to the sushi bar. the t-pool is great. the entire cruise price was $99 per person, well worth it.
