PSMike36 Posted January 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2013 All - Our return flight leaving Orlando is at 1pm and our cruise gets into Port Canaveral at 7am. Seems like we will have some time to kill (but maybe not?) and I am thinking about using a rental car for the trip back to Orlando. Some questions: * How quickly do they shuttle you off the ship? Are you able to sleep in? * Are there shuttles or taxis that you can take from the port to the car rental agency? * Is there a better way in general (transportation service, etc)? Note that I have not yet booked my transport from hotel to port yet either, so any suggestions there are also appreciated. Thanks!
JohninDC Posted January 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2013 * How quickly do they shuttle you off the ship? Are you able to sleep in? You can sleep in a bit, and enjoy one last breakfast in the MDR, but doubt you can stay on the ship much past about 9:00 AM. * Are there shuttles or taxis that you can take from the port to the car rental agency? Most of the major car rental agencies will shuttle you from the port to their nearby (PC or Cocoa Beach) location. * Is there a better way in general (transportation service, etc)? Some prefer to leave the driving to others -- check with: Cocoa Beach shuttle Star Trans TraveLynx Executive VIP Limo A taxi will cost you about $100+ for the 45-50 minute drive. Good luck! :)
