Any recent cruisers to Hawaii RT San Diego been offered luggage valet on the Century?

We did this cruise in 2011 and it was not offered, we are doing this cruise again on the April 3rd sailing and would love to use this service.

Thanks

Jerry

Thanks for the heads up........

Not what I wanted to hear, but now I can plan. DW just finished physical therapy for a repaired ruptured disk that affected her left leg.

Do not get to the port early or the union guys will not let you through in the taxi cab. It will be hell on your wife.

Expect your luggage to arrive very late in the evening. We had a sky suite and are Elite and we and others on our deck did not get luggage until after 9 PM. If you are expecting to change for dinner, bring it in your carry on.

We've sailed from a lot of ports and San Diego is not among our favorites.

You are a mind reader, as we did exactly that a few years back - taxi dropped us at the gate. That was terrible!

Hey we do like Galveston, DW is a Houston Gal. We have sailed from there several times and like to drive down early and stay at the Harbor House. I wish Celebrity or Royal would home port a ship there year round.

It isn't the "union guys" it is the security people. Everyone has to be off of the ship before any embarking guests can access the pier. Normally 10:30 am is the soonest that you should arrive in San Diego. Boarding follows rather quickly at 11:30 am or so and your stateroom should be ready by 1:30 am.
