patsicruiser Posted June 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2005 Hi We're cruising to Bermuda on the Crown on June 19th and one of the couples who is traveling with us is now wondering if they should have chosen another cabin. When going over the deck plans they noticed that they are on the deck right above the Stardust Lounge, Restaurants, Casino, Bars, etc. They wonder if they will be able to hear lots of noise from all of this. Plus, they are on the floor with all of the kid/teen activities. I've never read that anyone couldn't sleep because of noise but thought it would be a good idea to consult the cruise experts on the boards for some advice. Would you suggest that they attempt to get another cabin? Thanks
serene56 Posted June 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2005 I have sailed over a lounge on the aft of the VIctory. I have sailed under the casino on the Legend. I have not heard nothing in those cabins. (the cabins are sought after because of being so close to the public places. so there has to be something good for it) Beisdes-- it might costs you to make changes this late date. patsicruiser Posted June 2, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Thanks, Serene for your response. I guess on the smaller ships just about everybody will be close to at least one public area. What does 5000+ club indicate?

serene56 Posted June 2, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2005 by far an expert-- I like learning all their is to know about cruising. Last year I was able to take a tour of the NCL Crown. Spent 3 hours touring the various cabin categories, getting a free lunch- (it was not what was served at the buffet) free drinks. It was a very nice day. I would have never found this free tour without these boards.
