gabsmom215 Posted June 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2005 I posted this on the Princess forum also. Just wondering if anyone has stayed here, and how far from the port is it? Thanks in advance:)
TrentS Posted June 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2005 Best Western Pelican Beach is about 15 minutes north of Port Everglades. The new tower is spectacular, very beautiful and unique! If you don't have a car though there isn't anything within walking distance, but there are many shops and restaurants within a 5 minute cab ride. TrentS Posted June 4, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 4, 2005 No, the BEST Best Western BY FAR is Best Western Pelican Beach Resort. They just opened a new tower that's GORGEOUS!... http://www.pelicanbeach.com/ The others range from nothing special to downright nasty & disgusting! lojill Posted June 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2005 Hey Trent was it expensive. We will be staying for 1 night in FT lauderdale before our cruise the next day.
jimbug Posted June 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 18, 2005 The BW Pelican resort is beautiful...and it's really not that far from the "action" in FLL. However, they do require a 2-night minimum stay on weekends, and a regular room (not a suite) runs $224/night with the AAA discount in the spring. Hope that helps somewhat! We were thinking of staying there for 2 nights, but I got the Marriott BeachPlace Towers for the same price, but it's closer to everything we want to visit.
