luv2cruise53 Posted January 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2013 Does the ship have cash games and tourneys and if so does anyone know what the rake/buy in is?thanks! :) All NCL ships casinos have tourneys and Texas hold em is a poupular one. I saw tourneys advertised every day. I am not a big tourney player so I do not know the buy in ...but someone else will chime in soon. Good Luck:cool:
JohnIreland Posted January 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2013 The cash game is $1/$2 ($2/$4 on the Epic) and 10% rake capped at $25. Yes, you read that correctly, 10% capped at $25.

NYcruzzer Posted January 13, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Here is a math equation: If 10 player buy-in for $100.00 each for a total of $1000.00 in play. How long will it take for the house via rake and tips to collect the entire $1000.00 from said players ?
rvsullivan Posted January 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Well, in the tournaments, the $60 buy in has not rake. Your playing against the other players and the house takes nothing. Multiple buy ins are allowed. In a standard game, the rake is as listed above.

I'm sure a nice portion goes back to the house. As it should. It wouldn't make financial sense to pay dealers and staff to run a tournament few severals hours for free ? Because of the high rake I usually limit my play to tourney's and skip the re-buys and add ons.
sweetride Posted January 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2013 LOL the $60 buy in is def not rake free. i played it once and will never play it again. its either a 40-20 or a 45-15 (prize pool-rake) and you start with 20BBs. blinds double every 10 or 15 minutes. i forget which. its very similar to an online super turbo structure. there is way more luck than skill involved when you're short stacked the entire time. by the time its down to a handful of people, you each have under 10BBs. the average was 5 or 6 when i played. its ridiculous

sweetride Posted January 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 13, 2013 every pot is over 250? really? you'll see a pot over $250 maybe once every 2 rounds if there is good action. an average pot for a night would probably be $
