Hot water pots

Has anyone ever asked and received a hot water pot (reserved for suites) in a non-suite cabin. We will bring our french press coffee maker along, but are not in a suite this go around. Ordering hot water from room service is not as convenient as the hot water pot.

I brought mine along on the cruise we took last week. I have a cheap plastic one and it worked great. They used to have them in every cabin on the Indy but on the Liberty they didn't have them. They confiscated my tiny travel iron from my bag but did not have a problem with my electric kettle.
