flemtagg Posted January 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2013 Hello I am going on a cruise from Tenerife to Gambia ,Senegal and cape Verdi and I was wondering about what currency to use when going on tours ect , doi need local currency or can I use pounds ,dollars or euros also a rough guide about how much might be needed when ashore any info please . yorkshirephil Posted January 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2013 We are also on this itinerary, sailing 04-02-13. We are taking euro for the Canaries and Cape Verde and Sterling for Africa. We have found that most countries in and around Europe will take euro. The ship will usually change currency for you, at a price if you do need local currency, or you can change at a local bank.
