Open Booking on Princess

Recommended Posts

Can anybody explain the open booking process on Princess. How much are the deposits? Are they charged to your onboard account when you do the open booking or can you pay separately? How do you switch your booking to a travel agent (online or otherwise)? What are the benifits? Are their ANY drawbacks? Thanks for your help.

I'm only going to comment on one item which Suzy may or may not have covered. No. Deposits are not added to your shipboard account. This is a separate billing. The deposits are billed to whatever credit card you give to the future cruise consultant whether it's the one you already have on record or another one of your choice.

We always have at least 2 or 3 deposits on hand. You never know..............:)

In Oct 2003, we made a definite booking - cancelled twice - got our money refunded - just transferred an open booking - wish we had more - because the next time we are on board will be April 2006 - probably too late got get a transition on either the Atlantic or Pacific for Spring 07 in a cabin we want - transferring to a different agent is very easy. Just keep you open booking letter with the number
