Anyone Cruised RCL Grandeur AND NCL Sun

We're booked for a 10 day cruise on the Sun in October and am wondering how it may compare to the Grandeur of the Seas - which we love. I know the Sun is small like the Grandeur.

This will be our first on NCL. I am 53 and my wife is 47 - will this be a older retiree cruise? If so will we still have fun?

Cruises today are filled with pax of all ages. (Imagine how older retiress who read CC feel about your... Ahem... question...)

And the Sun is a fantastic ship.

Hi, I have done both ships twice. The sun is freestyle dining nice size ship with plenty of things to do (won $1,500.00) in the casino, great ship

The Grandeur is more tradintional in entertainment and dining, won $1,000.00 on Bingo. Love both ships each ha stheir own charms and fun. You can not go wrong with either ship

A ten day cruise while schools are in session (like October) is likely to draw an older crowd. the older folks are more able to take long trips. People with school age children are less likely to do so. i'd say that whether the ten day in on Grandeur or Sun. Fun? Sure...why wouldn't you have fun....well, maybe if you get seasick in bad weather during hurricane season, that would cut down your fun.

We were on The Sun in November/December (10 day). We are in our 30s, and the average age onboard overall is the oldest we have sailed with as it is a 10 day cruise out of Florida during the school year. Don't worry - you will have fun! We did. The passengers were great and we enjoyed talking to many of them. There were lots of activities and entertainment.
