Cruise card to open 2 cabins?

Everyone,

Is it possible to get our cruise cards keyed to open two cabins? My children will be in one cabin, and I would like to have my card open both cabin doors.

The reason this came about is that Princess requires that every cabin have an adult in it. In reality, I am going to stash the two kids (13 and 15) in one cabin across the hall. I am officially in this cabin and I want my key to open doors to both cabins (theirs and mine).

Any one try this before?

Worst case, I just live with a cruise card that doesn't open my door.

Thanks for any experience you might have had trying this...

We had a similar situation. Carnival gave us an extra (for one of the kids) key that would open the other cabin. It was a key card and could not be used to sign and charge on. The other thing we have done is to get the kids to give us one card an d they share but that is really is inconvenient if one wants to come back to the cabin and they are not together.ALSO the steward will open their cabin if he /she is available. GOOD LUCK...:)
