sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2013 This is my third attempt at posting the Breeze review. To make a long story short, I didn't like the size of the pictures using shutterbug, and ran out of space using Photobucket and deleted some pictures to make room for more. This was before I decided to bite the bullet, since I'm a novice, and pay the $29.99 for 1 year of 20 GB storage. Now, thanks to Gambee, who published a brilliant review on the Allure that I read, I know how to downsize my own photos and will never have to pay the $29.99 again. Thanks Gambee for all your coaching me along the way. You are a bright star and I look forward to your review on your upcoming Norwegian Breakaway cruise. Now, with all that out of the way, I just want to apologize, and you shouldn't have any problems viewing this review. Please bear with me as I got a little burned out the last 2 days doing the review the 2nd time. Thanks for all the compliments and I will now start posting. My wife and I are both in our mid 50's, and this was our 4th cruise, all on Carnival, which you can see by my signature. We booked this cruise about 14 months in advance, and booked an aft extended balcony cabin. Now for the pictures.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 16, 2013 We drove down to Ft. Lauderdale a few days before the cruise and stayed pre-cruise and parked for the duration at La Quinta Inn near the Miami Airport. We had nice rooms, but I didn't take any pictures of the property or rooms. We figured it was a great place to stay since we could park for free and leave our car there for free for the duration. With that being said, here is the free shuttle ride driver taking us to the port on Saturday morning. Downtown Miami with the sun peaking through the buildings. Our first view of the Breeze as we headed to the port It was a busy day inside the terminal as it was the day for the VIP's to board for the naming ceremony. We received our sail & sign cards right away, and as you will see, Ginny held onto our zone 6 card for boarding. We were there at the terminal at around 11:00 and onboard closer to 1:00 pm. The lines at the counters never got too long considering the amount of guests sailing today.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Carnival decorated pretty good today with the palm tree balloons and all since it was the big day for the naming ceremony and the Godmother of the ship ceremony. Our first stop was to get upstairs and grab something to eat since it was 1:00 pm and all we had since this morning was the standard continental breakfast. This was what walking through the Lido Marketplace looked like with the sun-brellas, which brightened up the day a little. The pool deck as we were trying to find Guy's Burgers. we finally gave up and ate at the Blue Iguana Cantina, which, we found out later, was on the far side of Guy's Burgers. What the heck did we know? Looking down at the Atrium decorative lamps from the 11th or 12th deck

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Part of the Funship 2.0 upgrades...the Tequilla Bar. We were allowed into our rooms at around 2:00 pm, but the bags didn't get to our room until closer to 5pm. Here are some baggage handlers bringing the bags to everyone on embarkation day. We were going to spend the better part of the next 2 days just taking pictures of the ship and sightseeing all around. We always eat first and then spend all of our time getting to know the ship. Our lovely cabin starting with the bathroom...
sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted January 16, 2013 The view from our balcony The Limelight Lounge, which also performed the duties of being the karaoke site, and The Punchliner Comedy Club acts. The Blush Dining Room, located on decks 3 and 4. We were seated upstairs.

sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #15 Share Posted January 16, 2013 The small aft pool and the red umbrella area....we loved sitting around out there We never got to play putt-putt although Ginny and I love to play it. We stayed too busy this cruise. We continued to take our tour of the ship on the upper decks outside. The ropes course....begs the question..."Why didn't they have cool stuff like that for me when I was a kid?" Waterworks Lots of water dumps out that will drench you good! sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #16 Share Posted January 16, 2013 The famous Whale Tail The Norwegian Epic at their sail away....what a magnificent ship! Sorry but I don't remember what the name of the ship is in front of the Epic going out to sea. Ginny loves her towel animals....our first one on this cruise... sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Tomorrow we will explore the ship some more during our fun day at sea Looking out from our balcony. We were with a group of Misfits...and loved our t-shirts...thanks Brenda! The entranceway to the Lido Marketplace as we had walked up the stairs for lunch I had a soda card and this Tides Bar was the closest bar to our room, so I spent a lot of time getting to know the bartenders here. The All American Station in the Lido Marketplace of course.... The fake trees in the Lido Marketplace....added a little shade...lol Sky Fitness Station on the upper decks... sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #22 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Look for the man in white wearing a straight jacket...he's the one carving an ice sculpture....(just kidding about the straight jacket)....but he is wearing white There he is....on the huge screen TV on the pool deck...up close... A little solitude....read a good book and relax without the noise? This is the place to go, but get there early! Still in love after all those years... sonicbuffalo Posted January 16, 2013 Author #24 Share Posted January 16, 2013 From one of the secret decks looking forward....not really secret, but you have to hunt for the doors to get out there... The Thalosatherapy Pool inside the spa... Another picture from the forward deck....does that give you a hint as to where the secret door is? Ginny getting a little too much sun in her face sitting on the Breeze Bench The infamous Guy's Burger with all 6 fries...loved those burgers and fries.. bucks724 Posted January 16, 2013 #25 Share Posted January 16, 2013 The infamous Guy's Burger with all 6 fries...loved those burgers and fries.. Hilarious! I made a comment about that in my review I'm working on now. They will give you extras, but you get 5 more! Works out great for not gaining weight on the cruise, since I was usually sharing the burger in the first place! ;)
