im4golf Posted January 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Planning on Hawaii cruise with Carnival Miracle. Notice they have Luau in Maui for $155.00. Just wondering which one it is. We really want Old Lahaina Luau. I know there is more than one in Maui, so just wondering which one Carnival uses for the Luau excursion there? Anybody know?
grannycroozer Posted January 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2013 We're on the Miracle in April. I had the same question and emailed the Carnival Shore Excursion Dept. I also asked if transportation was included. Here is their answer: "The tour cost for the Maui Luau does include the 45 mins round trip transfer from Kahului to Lahaina. The Luau will take place at the Hyatt which is called the Drums of the Pacific."
gusandgidgetsmom Posted January 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2013 We wanted to go to the Old Lahaina Luau also. We are on the Miracle and others that booked it as an offical CC event are going as a group. We went ahead and booked on line and then have reserved a car. The Car was pretty inexpensive and a shuttle will pick us up at port and then take us back there.

I never heard of it before but it does look good on the web site.:)

MalervyC Posted January 18, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2013 I am on POA in May to Hawaii, but last May I was on Miracle out of NYC. I thought it was a great ship with terrific staff. Just wanted to pass along :)
grannycroozer Posted January 19, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2013 I posted on the wrong forum. Meant to post on Roll Call about a Hilo tour. But I will say if you are interested in a tour on Hilo, Ricky's Tour is full, but he is willing to go with an additional van if more sign up for April 19. gusandgidgetsmom Posted January 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2013 We have not gone yet, but I have read many posts about renting a car and going to the Luau at night. The luau is over at 8:00 and they say it only takes 35 minutes back. That sounds like a good idea.!:) Did u have plenty of time to make it back to the ship?
