Best fishing excursion for halibut in July ?

We are doing A princess cruise out of Seattle in July, my husband wants to fish for halibut in one of our ports. Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan.

 

He's not interested in salmon, he has done that many times. It would be just him, I will enjoy myself on the ship. Spa day, perhaps ? Ha ha.

 

Any suggestions ?

You can probably rule out Skagway. It doesn't have may fishing boats moored there compared to the others.

 

Both Juneau and Ketchikan have large fleets of charter fishing boats. I would favor whichever port has the longer stop over.
