What is the earliest possible flight one should take after disembarking in Vancouver

If you want to see Vancouver but don't want to stay overnight, you can rent a car and sightsee for the day, and catch a late night flight home. That's what we did (11:45 flight) and it worked perfectly! I didn't think the airport in Vancouver was that far from the dock, but there was no highway to get there (maybe that's where the time/distance difference is).

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone. My friend and her husband

actually have an 11:30 flight out of YVR. I agree, I would not feel

comfortable with a flight before noon if it were me.

I was not aware that the ships actually start disembarkation at 7:30 (provided all goes well) That certainly makes a bit of a difference.

And they already are scheduled with Princess transfers. This is their

first cruise and they do not wish to stay over in Vancouver, so that is

not an option.

Sounds like much more of a hassle now than it was pre-9/11 getting out

of YVR!

Once again, thanks for all your valuable input.
