SueOverend Posted June 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2005 We're thinking of booking the Virgin Island Sailaway, snorkelling trip, for the morning which will get us back to the ship for 12.30. Our ship is due to sail at 6.00 pm and we thought it would be nice to go to a beach in the afternoon. Does anybody know how long the taxi ride is to Cane Garden Beach or Brewer's Bay and how easy is it getting back to the ship. Any input most appreciated. SantanaTto Posted June 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2005 We just got back from Tortola on Monday. We took a cab ride to Cane Garden Beach and it took exactly 23 minutes! When you get off of the ship, there are safari buses all around just waiting to take you ! It cost us $6.00 per person each way. Ask for Santa!(really...that's his name) Cane Garden was absolutley beautiful! The highlight of our week... Do not miss it!

Jen&Bill5104 Posted July 16, 2005 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2005 Cane Garden is beautiful-we were there on Wed! But, we didnt see any snorkeling or even many fish but very clear water!:) I think they recommended Brewers Bay for snorkeling.
Hei1980 Posted July 18, 2005 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2005 "...I hear it gets better, that's what they say, soon as we sail on to Cane Garden Bay.." Jimmy Buffett Is Cane Garden Bay the same Bay that is in Tortola?

SantanaTto Posted August 30, 2005 #11 Share Posted August 30, 2005 Gizmo, We went in May and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent for, I believe, $5 each. They also rent floating rafts for the water... $5 for the blow-up type and $10 for the kind that has a seat where you can lean back with a drink and float around.. It was great! I really didn't need the chair or umbrella, even though we rented them. I only got out of the water once to get a pina colada! The water was absolutely beautiful!
