Residenz Cellini Hotel

Hello: We stayed there for 4 nights before a cruise. It was very good. The location was great and the breakfast was good. The rooms were small but there was a really nice terrace. You're about one km walk from the forum and half a km to train station. We took the train to the port for about 9 euros. We went all over never took bus or metro. The longest walk was to the vatican which was about 3 km. Would recommend it.

The biggest downside of this neighborhood is the lack of good restaurants. This is more of a business area of town and it doesn't offer the variety of places to eat that the more central (in terms of tourism) area of Piazza Navona/Pantheon/Campo dei Fiori does. I've stayed within a block of this hotel several times when I was only in town for a night and wanted to be close to the train station, but for a longer stay I'd prefer to be closer to the historic center.
