Seriously, a lanyard is a cord with a hook that goes around your neck that is designed, in this case, your sail and sign card. :)

That's the best thing about the Critic family! It's okay not to know something, and you don't have to feel dumb about not knowing!

 

We are getting ready for our 5th Carnival Cruise, and we've learned SO MUCH from this board...and made many new friends.

People have been sailing on Cruiseships since the begining of the days Columbus set sail to check out the island girls, anyways they didnt wear Lanyards. I think a Front pocket is all you need for that S$S card:)

 

Besides, to me its something else that adds danger when having something hanging around your neck and can catch on a handrail or jumping onto a Tender and it snags and you end up in the water. Becareful while wearing these.
