sr5242 Posted January 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2013 My mother and I will be in labadee in 2014. Last time we were there we stayed on board and sunned by the pool. I am interested in renting a cabana this time. Is it worth it for only 2 people? Also, she has difficulty walking- could she get to/from the over the water cabanas? Thanks!!!! flowers44 Posted January 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Once your are off the ship, you are given a ride to the cabana area by one of the attendants in one of their motorize beach buggies. They stop right in front of the entrance to the "Over the Water" cabanas and escort you to your cabana. There are concrete paths to each cabana and one or two steps to get into the cabana. When it is lunch time, your attendant will bring the beach buggie over and drive you to Barefoot Beach. They also have beach wheel chairs available with the large inflated wheels if that would be necessary for your mom. She should do just fine getting to and enjoying a cabana. Rare Lionesss Posted January 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Also, you can share the expense with someone on your cruise roll-call. I am sure many people would be willing to join in a cabana that also only have 2 people, and you would still get the upgraded buffet, and have a lot of room.. Think about it Later
