RickEk Posted January 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Does it really make a difference which side of the ship you're on for the northbound/southbound Alaskan Voyages of the Glaciers? I keep hearing that port side is best on the southbound cruises and starboard on the northbound. But I would think that while in the Inside Passage, the ship will be sailing between islands and will be too far away from land when the ship is sailing in the Gulf of Alaska... Thoughts? Krazy Kruizers Posted January 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2013 We prefer to book the port side and a cabin with a balcony/verandah. Mainly because we can go out onto the balcony to watch the approach and departure from the ports. And most time the port side faces the town.
