We will be travelling soon from New York to San Juan and was wondering if anyone can tell me how hot San Juan is in Feb. We will have warm clothes on from New York - is it best to have a change of clothes into light clothing in case we have a while to board ship. New cruiser here!:o

HI and welcome!

We just got back from San Juan and it was humid and warm. I would definatly bring some light clothing with you. I take it you are are flying from New York to San Juan on the same day of your cruise??? in Feb? Not to scare you, but the East Coast can get some snow in Feb.

We try to fly in a day before we board in case of bad weather.

San Juan is always hot and sunny in February - that's why we love it so much for winter departures :p

As the previous poster suggested, you are taking a risk flying from NY to SJU on the day of the cruise. We always fly into San Juan at least the day before, although next month we are arriving on the 15th and our cruise leaves on the 17th. New York weather is highly unpredicatble as is Toronto's weather!!!

Have a great cruise - what week are you sailing?

I guess it depends on where you are from. We just got back from San Juan and thought it was a bit chilly at night in the cool breeze. The weekend of the 11th was cooler than the following weekend of the 18th. The locals were wearing jackets and hoodies at night. It was their big chance. I wore jeans and walked quickly to keep warm.

In the S. Caribbean I laid under my towel instead of on it while at the beach. The only day I ever sweated was in Barbados where it was much warmer. On all the other islands in the shade and wind, I was cold.

I'm a life time Floridian.
