Cruising Jake Posted June 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2005 I am trying to decide between 3 hotels in Copenhagen. They aren't the ones I might have chosen first, but they do have rooms available and are relatively inexpensive. Does anyone have any advice on hotel, location, etc? The hotels are: Hotel Tiffany, First Hotel Vesterbro and Sofitel Copenhagen Plaza.
MizzLee Posted June 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2005 Tripadvisor is always my first stop to check out a hotel--read the reviews and you should get a good feel for what will work for you. I have never been disappointed! http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g189541-Copenhagen_Zealand-Hotels.html
mwalsh17 Posted June 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2005 I researched several Hotels in Copenhagen and like the SP best. We are booking 2 nights pre cruise in July. Best rates I could find 250 per night including all taxes.

AndrewM Posted June 12, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2005 I just got the #2 rated hotel in Copenhagen(according to tripadvisor.com) for $100/night, the Copenhagen Marriott on priceline.com for Friday, July 1st, 2005.
elal Posted June 12, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2005 What information did you request to the Marriot? That is a great deal.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted June 12, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2005 We stayed at the Sofitel prior to our 5/25 cruise. The location can't be beat for the price. The hotel itself is sort of a strange mix of grand and shabby, but it somehow works. The room/bathroom we had was not large but was fine for our short stay. The staff were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet offered is expensive (unless you get it included with your room, which we didn't), so opt to walk up the street toward Tivoli Gardens where there is a great bakery for breakfast. Ask for a room that does NOT face the railroad station if you want to open your windows at night.
AndrewM Posted June 13, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 13, 2005 What information did you request to the Marriot? That is a great deal. I placed a bid through Priceline.com and they thankfully accepted it. You just have to request a 4 star hotel, enter your credit card info and ignore it when they suggest to bid more. If you can get this place on a weekend night at the beginning of the jazz festival, then you should be able to get it for this low price anytime..
