bit of a random question

 

why do the ships sometimes not blow their horns as they leave fort lauderdale

 

sometimes they do and sometimes they dont is it they are not allowed after a certain time etc?

We knew a woman who lived in the apartments that border the port as you leave. She was one of those people who used to sit on their veranda's on Sat and Sun blowing their own horns as the ships left port. She told us for many years all the cruise lines blew their horns as they left port except Celebrity. My last few cruises out of FLL, Celebrity has blown the horns as they left port. I would guess it's just a simple decision by the Captains.
