YourCoach Posted June 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2005 We are staying in Vancouver for 2 1/2 days after our cruise before heading home. I understand the best deal, as far as making purchases, is using your credit cards whenever possible. For those times when cash is necessary, what is the best method to get Canadian currency, both from an exchange rate and convenience perspective? Then how do we convert what we have left at the end, back to U.S. currency? Thanks for all help. Carl
BS_Outwest Posted June 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Use the ATM's, they will give you your bank's exchange rate of the day, which will be better than any of the stores or tour co's. There are foreign exchange counters at the airport to convert your cash back to US dollars or your bank at home may accept a Canadian $ deposit and again, their rate will apply. Hope this helps:D
