How to get to Governor's beach

Last year when we were GC we met up with some folks our sons knew We went to a place called Governor's Beach or House. It was quite quiet compared to other places, but I don't remember seeing taxis or buses. Is it possible to do this on our own? Are there any restrooms near by?

A taxi or the #1 or #2 bus routes will get you there & back. Just past the Westin when coming from port. Sometimes there is a port-a-loo there, if not the Westin is right there.

Thanks. Good info. Is it easy enough to nip in to the Westin? Have I chosen a good spot, or is there another that would be better. Just seemed much quieter than the parts we were at before.

The Westin's public areas, are well...public. If I don't feel like driving up to Cemetery Beach when on that side of the island, we hit Governor's. Great stretch of beach, decent snorkeling, close to some good restaurants across the street and a liquor store as well.
