Best Cabin for 4 on Elation?

Hello All,

My family and I are looking for our 3rd annual Thanksgiving cruise (2013) and are thinking about switching things up a moving to New Orleans as our departure spot.

Due to time constraints with the kiddos, it looks like we can only take a 5 day cruise - which leaves us with the Elation.

A couple questions..

1. The Elation is an older ship -- I would love to hear about recent experiences people have had with her.

2. What cabin should we choose. I really do not want to spend the money for a suite. In the past we have had 2 connecting cabins, but this does not seem like it exists on the Elation. My kids will be 11 and 6. We could book 2 cabins and put them next door when we get there. Has anyone ever done that with kids of this age.

Thanks for the information!

Missy
