B5 is not obstructed by lifeboats; only the B6 Cabins. B3 and B4 are just like B5, only different decks. The only negative to an in-hull veranda is that you are not able to see the ocean when you are seated in the lounge chairs. My guess is, with a plexiglass veranda for the B6, some ocean view would be possible even with a lifeboat mostly blocking the view.

 

Also, I think the veranda might be a bit more "open" to the elements than a B3, B4, or B5. Being within the hull, you might have a bit more protection from the weather. That might be a positive if you were on a trans-Atlantic crossing. Someone who has had such a stateroom should be better able to comment.

Last year we were in a B5 and although it was a hull,- we did not know this at the time of booking, as we booked before the ship was even finished being built, we really found that we loved our cabin and the hull was not a problem.
