BenjiRodney Posted February 5, 2013 Author #27 Share Posted February 5, 2013 We really had a good time on this trip. We are doing Grand Cayman and Cozumel out of Tampa in May on the Paradise. I am trying to reach Platinum Status under the old guidelines, this was cruise number 8 with 9 and 10 to follow shortly. The day at sea was windy somewhat rainy and the upper decks were all closed. But there were plenty of activities to keep us busy. Since we had FTTF we were offered Zone 1 debarkation, we booked a South Beach tour with transfers to FLL airport since the flight was not leaving until 7 pm. We had to meet in the Piano Bar at 745 to be escorted off the ship and to the tour. The ship was running a little behind and we pulled Into the port at 7 am. We were only of the first groups escorted off and there were no lines at customs. For whatever reason, 2 people decided to wait and get off later, the tour guide said that they have to wait until 930 to allow people to clear customs, finally decided to show up at 920. This really cut into the amount of time we would have as they decided to combine the Jungle Island and both South Beach tours into one bus, so we got a ride to the MiA airport before going to FLL. Waiting to checking in at FLL, they only take bags 4 hours before a flight, so I logged in to iPad and checked in on line and paid for my bags that way. I forgot to mento that I left my iPhone in the cab on the way to the ship. I got a call on my partners phones from a lady who could barely speak English who found it, she gave it to a friend of hers in Holloywood who I have been in contact with and they say they are going to return it to me. I hope to get it back this week, if not, good excuse to get the iPhone 5 I guess. Oh we'll, I really don't let things like this get to me, I am always loosing something. Keys at LAX and Nassau to name a few, so I have extra copies of all my keys now.
