Just Back from Valor - Mini Review - Any Questions?

We were offered egg crates and extra sheets or comforters... Something over it for extra padding. It wasn't sleeping on the floor by any means, but it was not the Carnival beds we have had in the past.

There was a hair dryer in the drawer.

The free drink coupon is issued to all Past Guests of Carnival, Platinum has nothing to do with it. Pretty sure it was a consolation for Past Guests demoted from Gold back to Red since only Gold and higher get invites to the new Past Guest party.

You are right. I should not have mentioned Platinum. The rest of my post was correct. Thanks for the clarification.

We were also on this cruise and it was our first time cruising so maybe don't know if good or not but we thought the Valor was fantastic and we are both 50. We did the cheers program and after all was said and done it save us about $50 but we did find ourselves trying to make up the drinks to make it worth it daily and were neither one big drinkers.

We had dining in the Washington and had the most fantaastic server and the food we thought was fantastic. Buffet was a buffet but breakfast was kinda sorry to say the least. The specialty foods joints were quite good and the steakhouse would be a must again, just fantaastic food and service.

We had a fantastic steward and were in a balcony room 6351 and as stated earlier the room seemed to always be clean and he always was cheerful when he saw us and called us by name as early as the first evening. The bed was just right but we have a firm type bed at home.As far as the music we could hear it until around midnight from deck 5 but we were usually on the balcony until 1 or 2 in the morning just enjoying the air and sounds of the ocean.

Boarding and deboarding went quick and was quite smooth. Did the dolphins in Cozumel, stingrays in Grand Caymans, and just walked around in Jamaica but didn't care to be harrassed so much there so went back to ship early.

Maybe being new cruisers we don't know good from bad but for us it was a fantastic cruise and will definitely do it again.

No, you can't choose. The lower level of the Lincoln Dining Room is reserved for Anytime Dining. It will be on your sail and sign card. The upper level of Lincoln and the Washington Dining Room are reserved for assigned dining guests. Brunch and tea were served in the Washington Dining Room, though, so you have an opportunity to eat there too.

Thanks!
