Mediterranean - legend vs navigator

Recommended Posts

Since it is a European cruise, I'd take whichever one fits all your needs better. Those itineraries are so much about the ports, and you are on the go so much that the ship is just an after thought.

We've been on a lot of the larger ships, but had I seen the Legend itinerary in August 2013 or October 2013 earlier, we would have booked that.

We did Eastern Med on Splendour which is Legend's twin in the Vision class pairings. They are currently the smallest in the RCI fleet. We thought it was great. They are small ships, but perfectly comfortable [reasonably large staterooms] with plenty to do, and don't include as many fellow passenger to crowd the attractions on shore. [Of course nothing to prevent other ships from being in port the same day]. I am sure Nav is a great ship, but for a port intensive cruise, I am inclined to say smaller is better.
