I know 6 are disembarking the Queen Mary2 this morning in New York City.....4 are on the Pride ship, 3 are on the Spirit, 2 are learning Italian in Venice.....and 4 are "building homes!"

We in Texas today, however, are just "lying low" and enjoying all the beautiful bluebonnets that have covered our state this month......the fragrance is delightful!

Sail on, Sailors!

I'll see your Texas bluebonnets and raise you a field of Virginia bluebells!!!

Just saw the QM2 pull into NYC this morning on the Today show and heard that when she pulls out of the harbour for the crossing back it will be with the QE2 at her side on her farewell transatlantic voyage -- now that would be a sight! I must admit that the highlight of my QE2 crossing a few years ago was pulling into NYC past Lady Liberty( sorry Norm/Chartwell -- pulling no matter how much I love the U.K. pulling into Southampton was not quite the same)and then we got a bonus by sailing out past her that evening -- a twofer ( we were fortunate to have picked up the ship in Baltimore which made this special event possible).
